Brand: The Tudors
Show History
This costume drama features England's splendid Renaissance dynasty under King Henry VIII.
Beginning in Season 1 when Henry VIII was growing desperate for an heir and growing distant
from his first wife, the series moves quickly to the period when Anne Boelyn became his
obsession.
Why do we need to advertise?
Season four is the Tudors final season, and it premieres a year after season 3. We need to remind
viewers that the show they love is coming back.
Target audience
Mostly women 30-45
What are they like? What is the role of the brand in their lives?
They are fans of the show. They are educated enough to know the show is not historically
accurate, but they watch it for the steamy sex scenes. These are mom's that are on the go
constantly; taking the kids to school, having a full time job, picking up the kids and dropping
them off at soccer, ballet, cheer, band practice. Her life is hectic enough that when she finally
relaxes at the end of a long day she wants to focus on someone else’s drama. She has a history of
watching soap operas they no longer fit her schedule. When she really has down time she enjoys
reading romance novels; for the love, heat and passion that goes on in them. She recycles, 4 kids
and one trashcan, might as well separate everything so it can fit. She drives a mini-van for the
space and safety factors.
In one simple sentence or phrase, what do we need to communicate?
Your guilty pleasure is back
