FIFA

Okay so I'm finally posting this wayyyy late but here it goes.
Idea 1 guerilla:
Costco/other large warehouse style stores with overhead speakers
An employee comes over the speaker and announces a sale on big screen tv's.
he says that they would be great for watching (insert famous futbol player).
He gets progressively more and more excited as he describes the player going for a goal and then screams and goes crazy as his imagination gets the best of him.  After this superfandom he apologizes for his outburst, like he's embarrassed, and explains that he's just excited for the 2010 worldcup.

Idea 2 web:
To play off of the idea above I thought about making a microsite for fans around the world.  They could upload videos of themselves freaking out over their favorite team's goals and the best ones for each country would be played during the actual worldcup.  This would make the experience with the games even more personal for the people who are already obsessed with it.

I'm still working on my print ideas and I want to make sure that this is on the right track so I can build something that goes with it nicely.

  1. #1 is approved. Awesome. It communicates the excitment in an unexpected way. #2 feels more expected. How else can fans share their excitement /energy outside a microsite? Comp #1 and expand your ideas off that. The idea has legs. Keep going.
